OILWATCH Introduction to Oil Analysis and Condition Monitoring:
This is a one-day introductory course presented by our technical team. The aim of this course is to equip newcomers to the oil analysis and condition monitoring field with the basic needed tools and foundation. During this course we learn the following modules:
- Sampling procedures and best practices
- Reading and understanding the oil/fuel analysis report
- Basic fluid properties and condition monitoring of oil /fuel
- Component based wear analysis and wear trends
- Understanding contaminations and the effects thereof
- Root cause analysis
- Trend analysis and overall condition monitoring.
People that should attend this course are typically responsible for sampling and actioning. It is also ideal for middle management roles that are responsible for managing fleet data and giving feedback.

Each delegate will receive a manual with all the relevant material for the course as well as additional reference materials that are perfect for day-to-day use in the field. Upon completion each delegate will receive a certificate.
OILWATCH Advanced Oil Analysis and Condition Monitoring
This is a three (3) day course presented by certified individuals from the OILWATCH technical department. This course is intended for the higher-level technical individuals and is considered advanced in the field of condition monitoring and have some experience with the topic. During this course we learn the following modules:
- Application based sampling, sampling conditions and managing sampling schedules
- Advanced fluid technologies, additive systems and base oil characteristics.
- Application based oil testing, understanding the limits of the application and fluid combination.
- Application specific wear analysis, trend analysis, setting different limits on wear levels.
- Contamination and the progressive wear results of specific contaminants (per application).
- Advanced fuel analysis and fuel related engine failures
- Coolant/Antifreeze analysis and cooling system problems.
- Contamination control and advanced filtration.
- Root Cause and failure analysis.
- Trend analysis and data management for advanced proactive maintenance.
- Condition monitoring processes and management.

Each delegate will receive a comprehensive study guide and manual for the course. This includes all relevant material and additional material for future reference. On the end of the course there is a closed book exam written in class, those that score 65% and higher for this test will be awarded with a certificate for Advanced Oil Analysis and Condition Monitoring.
